Regional Softball/Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Golf
This weekend is the Regional Softball event at Cobbs Hill followed by the volunteer appreciation dinner. We look forward to a great competition with more teams registered this year! If you have any questions prior to Saturday’s event, please call the office at 586-7400. Can’t wait to see you there!
Golfers are on the course this Sunday in the first of three events. We have a large athlete turnout again this year. All we need is beautiful weather for the weekend!

We have many events just around the corner….registrations are rapidly approaching. Attached are the forms for Super Regional Bocce, Upstate Fall Classic, and Regional Equestrian. Please return your forms as soon as possible.

We are looking for volunteer EMTs to help with venue support for Fall Games October 3-5, 2008. There are flexible times available and many different opportunities to help out. If you have any questions regarding the possibility of volunteering please contact Dave Burgess at 315-697-2074.
Rochester Red Wings tickets
Tickets to the remaining 8 Red Wings home games have been donated to Special Olympics. The dates are August 22, 23, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31 and September 1. If you have groups interested, please contact the office at 585-58607400 x108.
Please be aware that we are using a NEW roster form! Please try to use this form going forward!
The fall season is almost upon us and coaches are required to submit Rosters to the Genesee Office by August 22nd. Attached is the “NEW” form that you need to fill out for your athletes in your training club. This form is a little different in that we are now asking for sport training information for the whole season, even if your athletes DO NOT compete at events in specific sports. Part of our accreditation with SOI involves sport training in addition to events competed in. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Julie Bell at the office at 585-586-7400 x108 or via email. There is also a page in the document enabling you to list all the coaches that are involved with your club for the Fall Season. Please complete that also, allowing us to help you update your coaches’ credentials. Thanks so much for all your support and assistance with this tack.

Shop for a Cause at Second Bloom in Fairport
Thursday, September 25th from 4-8pm, please join the Special Olympics staff and Second Bloom, a local upscale consignment shop, as we enjoy an evening with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and shopping. Second Bloom is generously donating a portion of the evening’s proceeds to Special Olympics. Honestly, does it get any better than that?
